1520 Glute / Ham Reverse Hyper

Overview: This is a free weight bench to exercise the glute, low back, hamstrings, & abs.

Frame is constructed of 4x2, 3x3, & 2x2 11gage (7 gage optional). Frame is all mig welded with steel caps welded and ground smooth over all tubing ends.

Bench consists of (2) large torso pads that are built up out of ¾’ birch plywood into a large half moon shape tapered from 9” tall to nothing, pad is a 14” radius, and then 1” foam glued to all sides for comfort of user. Front of pad is 90 degree to allow user to hang vertical and for doing reverse hypers.

Torso pads are approx. 3” spaced apart for male users.

Pad with of minimum of 24”, with (2) 1” diameter solid steel rods 14” long covered with a foam grip. These are used as assist handles for the athlete and are mounted to either side of the torso pads.

The foot catch achieves total adjustment for user by use of a 3x2 chromed tube slide with a 3/16” laser cut slide mount. Mount adjusts via ½” pop pin and uses a hardened steel lockdown knob to secure mount from wobble.

Dual roller foot catch system is then mounted on the slide mount via a vertical 2x2-chrome slide tube giving height adjustment up & down.

Top rollers are a 6” diameter in a strait plain, and lower rollers are at a 4” diameter mounted at 10 degree down angle to self adjust for ankle variations of the users.

Steel tread plate mounted 5” behind rollers to give user foot support during exercise. (2) 1” steel handles covered in foam mounted on footplates for user to hold on for reverse hypers.

Lower frame is built in V shape to allow head clearance for users head or feet. Lower frame has (4) lag pads with ½” holes drill in them for floor mounting.

One 8” step is mounted to the frame to allow easy access to the bench.

This bench allows a user of 6’9” free movement without restriction.
